In this session, Rev. Dawn Gikandi didn&#8217;t offer shallow encouragements or trendy slogans—she took us back to the fundamentals of our identity, dependence, and calling in God. <p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">To be created is to belong to a Creator. This single truth destroys the illusion of self-sufficiency. We are not random, self-authored beings. We were formed, fashioned, and positioned by God for divine purposes.</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">“We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…” – Ephesians 2:10</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">Using the metaphors of gloves and puzzles, Rev. Dawn taught that our design is intentional and our fit is specific. Like gloves are made to fit the hand, and puzzle pieces have their assigned space, so too are we crafted to function in alignment with our Creator’s intent—not outside of it.</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400"><b style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">2. Growing Doesn’t Mean Graduating from God</b></p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">Just as a baby elephant, despite growing massive in size, still remains under the care and guidance of its parent, so must we recognize that our spiritual maturity never makes us independent of God. We are always the created. He is always the Creator.</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">“Can the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’” – Isaiah 45:9</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400"><b style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);"><span style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">3. Trusting God&#8217;s Timing and Wisdo</span><span style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">m</span></b></p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">One of the deepest calls of the session was the invitation to trust—even in God’s silence. Rev. Dawn walked us through profound passages reminding us that God owes us no explanation. He acts out of wisdom, not our consent.</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">Deuteronomy 29:29 – “The secret things belong to the Lord.”</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">Isaiah 60:22 – “At the right time, I the Lord will make it happen.”</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">Sometimes we’re trying to “arm wrestle” with God, attempting to take control. But like her childhood story illustrated—God lets us &#8220;win&#8221; sometimes, not because we’re stronger, but because He’s training us to trust.</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400"><b style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">4. Surrender as a Pathway to Grace</b></p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">Rev. Dawn boldly reminded us: God causes both joy and pain. (Job 2:10, Deut 32:39) Yet, our response isn’t to resist but to surrender—to look beyond outcomes and into God&#8217;s grace in every season.</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">Pain doesn’t always mean punishment. Delays don’t always mean denial. The path of surrender says:</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">“Lord, I don’t understand, but I yield.”</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400"><b style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">5. Forgiveness: Your Prison Break</b></p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">“Forgiveness is discovering you were in a prison… and realizing you already have the keys.”</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">Holding onto offense doesn&#8217;t just limit relationships—it binds destinies. Rev. Dawn explained that forgiveness is not for the offender, but for the freedom of the forgiver. It’s the divine act of trading bitterness for peace, and control for healing.</p>
<p style="color: #040922; font-family: Montserrat; font-weight: 400;" data-fusion-font="true" data-fusion-google-font="Montserrat" data-fusion-google-variant="400">Ephesians 4:31-32 – “Let all bitterness… be put away from you… forgiving one another as God in Christ forgave you.”</p>

It’s about stewarding every aspect of the home—material, emotional, relational, and spiritual—under God’s guidance. When we align our families with His purpose, we create homes that thrive in peace, resilience, and unity.</p>
<p class="fusion-responsive-typography-calculated" style="text-align: left; --fontsize: 30; line-height: 1; font-size: 16px;" data-start="541" data-end="571" data-fontsize="30" data-lineheight="36px" data-fusion-font="true"><b style="line-height: 1px; font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-fusion-font="true">What Are Family Resources?</b></p>
<p data-start="573" data-end="747" style="text-align: left; font-size: 14px;" data-fusion-font="true">Family resources aren’t just what we can touch or count. They include anything that contributes to a family’s well-being and functionality. Think of it as five key pillars:</p>
<ol data-start="748" data-end="1009">
<li class="" data-start="748" data-end="799">
<p data-start="751" data-end="799" style="text-align: left;"><strong data-start="751" data-end="773" data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Material resources</strong><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> (finances, possessions)</span></p>

</li>
<li class="" data-start="854" data-end="905">
<p data-start="857" data-end="905" style="text-align: left;"><strong data-start="857" data-end="880" data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Coping competencies</strong><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> (emotional resilience)</span></p>
</li>
<li class="" data-start="906" data-end="953">
<p data-start="909" data-end="953" style="text-align: left;"><strong data-start="909" data-end="931" data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Daily interactions</strong><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> (relational habits)</span></p>
</li>
<li class="" data-start="954" data-end="1009">
<p data-start="957" data-end="1009" style="text-align: left;"><strong data-start="957" data-end="980" data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Spiritual grounding</strong><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> through the </span><strong data-start="993" data-end="1009" data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">family altar</strong></p>
</li>
</ol>
<p data-start="1011" data-end="1067" style="text-align: left; font-size: 14px;" data-fusion-font="true">Let’s explore each of these from a biblical perspective.</p>
<p class="fusion-responsive-typography-calculated" style="text-align: left; --fontsize: 30; line-height: 1.2;" data-start="1074" data-end="1124" data-fontsize="30" data-lineheight="36px"><b><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 25px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-fusion-font="true">1. </span><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 25px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-start="1081" data-end="1124" data-fusion-font="true">Material Resources: God Is the Provider</span></b></p>
<p data-start="1126" data-end="1533" style="text-align: left;"><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Everything we have comes from God. James 1:17 reminds us, </span><em data-start="1184" data-end="1230"><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">“Every good and perfect gift is from above.”</span></em><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> Whether it’s our home, income, or food on the table, it’s all His provision. Like Job, we’re stewards—not owners—of God’s blessings (Job 1:1–5). Wise financial stewardship includes generosity, budgeting, and gratitude. When we acknowledge God as our source, it transforms how we handle material things. Just like Job, &#8216;</span><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">you can still be filthy rich and still a God-chaser&#8217;.</b></p>
<p class="fusion-responsive-typography-calculated" style="text-align: left; --fontsize: 30; line-height: 1.2;" data-start="1540" data-end="1589" data-fontsize="30" data-lineheight="36px"><b><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 25px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-fusion-font="true">2. </span><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 25px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-start="1547" data-end="1589" data-fusion-font="true">Social Support: People Are God’s Gifts</span></b></p>
<p data-start="1591" data-end="1990" style="text-align: left; font-size: 14px;" data-fusion-font="true">We were never meant to walk alone. Supportive relationships enhance mental health, build self-esteem, and foster a deep sense of belonging. Surrounding yourself with a Christ-centered community is one of the most powerful investments you can make in your family. As Apostle Joshua Selman puts it, people are “destiny helpers and burden carriers.” Honor the relationships God has placed in your life.</p>
<p data-start="1591" data-end="1990" style="text-align: left;"><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">&#8220;When you prioritize friend raising, fundraising becomes a natural outcome.&#8221; </b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">In other words, strong relationships are the foundation of sustainable support.</span></p>
<p class="fusion-responsive-typography-calculated" style="text-align: left; --fontsize: 30; line-height: 1.2;" data-start="1997" data-end="2052" data-fontsize="30" data-lineheight="36px"><b><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 25px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-fusion-font="true">3. </span><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 25px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-start="2004" data-end="2052" data-fusion-font="true">Coping Competencies: Resilience in the Storm</span></b></p>
<p style="text-align: left; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px;" data-start="2054" data-end="2451" data-fusion-font="true">Life brings its share of trials. The question is: how do we respond? Whether it&#8217;s conflict, loss, or stress, families need coping tools—both emotional and spiritual. The “fight, flight, or fright” response is natural, but we must grow beyond it into maturity. Develop habits like prayer, open communication, and wise counsel. God’s grace empowers us to navigate challenges with peace and strength.</p>
<p class="fusion-responsive-typography-calculated" style="text-align: left; --fontsize: 30; line-height: 1.2;" data-start="2458" data-end="2513" data-fontsize="30" data-lineheight="36px"><b><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-fusion-font="true">4. </span><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-start="2465" data-end="2513" data-fusion-font="true">Daily Interactions: The Power of Consistency</span></b></p>
<p style="text-align: left; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px;" data-start="2515" data-end="2856" data-fusion-font="true">Did you know you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with? Our daily conversations, habits, and interactions shape who we are becoming. Invest in family time. Eat together, talk often, laugh freely. In these ordinary moments, extraordinary bonds are formed. Healthy families aren’t built overnight—they’re built daily.</p>
<p class="fusion-responsive-typography-calculated" style="text-align: left; --fontsize: 30; line-height: 1.2;" data-start="2863" data-end="2920" data-fontsize="30" data-lineheight="36px"><b><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-fusion-font="true">5. </span><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-start="2870" data-end="2920" data-fusion-font="true">The Family Altar: Spiritual Foundations Matter</span></b></p>
<p style="text-align: left; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px;" data-start="2922" data-end="3347" data-fusion-font="true">Perhaps the most overlooked but most important family resource is the spiritual altar. An altar is a sacred place where you commune with God and establish spiritual authority over your life, your household, and all that He has entrusted to you. In every home, someone must take priestly responsibility—usually the father—to lead the family in prayer, devotion, and God’s Word. praying family becomes a powerful force, grounded in purpose and covered in grace. It is also good to note that, without a family altar, key aspects of family life—including resources—will struggle to flourish</p>
<p class="fusion-responsive-typography-calculated" style="text-align: left; --fontsize: 30; line-height: 25px; font-size: 16px;" data-start="3354" data-end="3372" data-fontsize="30" data-lineheight="36px" data-fusion-font="true"><b style="line-height: 22.4px; font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);" data-fusion-font="true">Final thoughts</b></p>
<p style="text-align: left; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px;" data-start="3374" data-end="3632" data-fusion-font="true">Managing family resources God’s way is a sacred calling. It’s not just about surviving—it’s about thriving. When we steward our time, money, relationships, emotions, and spiritual lives with intentionality, our families become reflections of heaven on earth.</p>
<p style="text-align: left; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.4px;" data-start="3634" data-end="3763" data-fusion-font="true">Let’s rise to the challenge with wisdom, love, and faith—knowing that as we manage well, we honor the One who gave us everything.</p>

<li data-start="69" data-end="559">In a world where sexual norms and identities are rapidly evolving, the Church finds itself in the midst of a critical and urgent conversation. As society embraces new definitions of love, marriage, and gender, there is growing pressure for Christians to align with cultural shifts. But in the face of these societal changes, we must ask: where do we stand? How do we respond to the growing narrative that seeks to redefine sexuality in ways that contradict the timeless truths of Scripture?</li>
</ul>
<p class="" data-start="561" data-end="609"><span data-start="561" data-end="609"><b style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">God’s Original Design: A Foundation of Truth</b></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="color: var(--awb-text-color); font-family: var(--awb-text-font-family); font-size: var(--awb-font-size); font-style: var(--awb-text-font-style); font-weight: var(--awb-text-font-weight); letter-spacing: var(--awb-letter-spacing); text-align: var(--awb-content-alignment); text-transform: var(--awb-text-transform); background-color: var(--awb-bg-color);">From the very beginning, God’s plan for human sexuality was clear and intentional. Genesis 1:27 affirms that God created mankind in His image—male and female. This divine design establishes both gender and sexuality as part of God&#8217;s perfect plan for humanity, not as human inventions subject to change.</span></li>
<li>Further, marriage is established as a sacred covenant between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24), where the union becomes the foundation for family, community, and society. Sexual intimacy within the context of marriage is not just permissible; it is sacred, designed to bring glory to God and strengthen the marital bond (Hebrews 13:4).</li>

<p class="" data-start="1251" data-end="1315"><span data-start="1251" data-end="1315"><b style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">The Consequences of Deviation: Spiritual and Societal Impact</b></span></p>
<ul>
<li data-start="1317" data-end="2126">While God’s original design is clear, the Bible also speaks to the consequences of deviating from His intended purpose. Throughout Scripture, various forms of sexual sin are outlined—adultery, fornication, homosexuality, pornography, and more (Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).</li>
<li data-start="1317" data-end="2126">These are not just moral violations but are deeply spiritual, representing a distortion of God’s perfect plan. Sin, including sexual sin, brings not only spiritual separation but also societal and moral decay. Romans 6:23 warns, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” As we witness the rise of sexual sin in our culture, we must remember that these deviations lead to brokenness, destruction, and ultimately death, both in the spiritual and physical realms.</li>
</ul>
<p class="" data-start="2128" data-end="2171"><span data-start="2128" data-end="2171"><b style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">The World’s Agenda: Redefining Morality</b></span></p>
<ul>
<li data-start="2173" data-end="2915">In recent years, the push to normalize LGBTQ+ lifestyles, redefine marriage, and promote fluid gender identities has gained significant traction. Worldwide, acceptance of homosexuality has become more widespread, with legal frameworks increasingly supporting same-sex unions and the decriminalization of non-heteronormative relationships. While societal acceptance continues to rise, we as Christians must recognize that true transformation cannot be legislated.</li>
<li data-start="2173" data-end="2915">The world&#8217;s agenda is to redefine morality, but as believers, we must stand firm in the truth that God’s word is not subject to cultural change. The true transformation of the heart comes only through Christ, and no law can change the deep spiritual truth that God has set forth.</li>
</ul>

We must immerse ourselves in God’s Word daily (2 Timothy 3:16). It is through Scripture that we gain clarity on God&#8217;s design for sexuality and are empowered to stand firm in a world that often contradicts these truths (Joshua 1:8).</p>

By instilling these values early, we preserve God’s plan for future generations.</p>

<p class="" data-start="4095" data-end="4453"><b><span data-start="4095" data-end="4122">Love Without Compromise</span> – </b>The Bible calls us to love our neighbors, including those who may struggle with or embrace lifestyles contrary to biblical truth. We must be a voice of truth, always tempered with love, compassion, and grace.</p>

<li class="" data-start="4455" data-end="4830">
<p class="" data-start="4458" data-end="4830"><b><span data-start="4458" data-end="4478">Pray for Revival</span> –</b> In a time when darkness seems to be spreading, the Church must rise in prayer. We need a spiritual awakening, not only in our own hearts but also in the hearts of our families, communities, and nations (Habakkuk 2:14). Prayer is a powerful tool for revival, and we must pray that God’s truth will shine brightly in a world that desperately needs it.</p>
</li>

<p class="" data-start="4832" data-end="4882"><span data-start="4832" data-end="4882"><b style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">A Battle Over Identity, Morality, and Eternity</b></span></p>
<ul>
<li data-start="4884" data-end="5373">At its core, the modern debate surrounding sexuality is not simply about personal preferences or identity; it is a spiritual battle over the very foundation of God’s truth. The world seeks to redefine morality, but as followers of Christ, we must stand firm in the truth that God’s Word is the ultimate authority. The battle over human sexuality is a matter of eternal significance—our identity, morality, and relationship with God are all deeply impacted by how we engage with this issue.</li>
<li data-start="5375" data-end="5842">The question before us is whether we will conform to the shifting tides of culture or whether we will uphold the eternal truth of God’s Word. The time to stand for righteousness is now, and the stakes have never been higher.</li>
<li data-start="5375" data-end="5842">As the world seeks to redefine sexuality, we must be unwavering in our commitment to God’s design for humanity—upholding biblical truth, loving others without compromise, and seeking God’s transformation in our hearts and the world around us.</li>
<li data-start="5844" data-end="6018">Will we stand firm in the truth of God’s Word? The time to act is now. Let us rise up in faith, love, and prayer, and boldly proclaim the truth of God’s design for sexuality.</li>

The secret lies in one truth: they were filled and led by the Holy Spirit.</span></p>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">The Unstoppable Men of Acts: Ordinary Lives, Extraordinary Impact</b></p>
<p><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">The book of Acts reveals a pattern: </span><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">when the Holy Spirit fills a person, their life becomes a vessel for God’s power.</b></p>
<ul>
<li><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Paul </b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">was once a persecutor of the church, but after encountering the Spirit, he became a fearless missionary. Despite beatings, imprisonment, and shipwrecks, he declared, &#8220;I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me&#8221; (Acts 20:24). His handkerchiefs even carried healing (Acts 19:11-12)!</span></li>
<li><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Peter,</b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> who once denied Jesus out of fear, stood before the same religious leaders who crucified Christ and proclaimed, &#8220;We must obey God rather than human beings!&#8221; (Acts 5:29). His preaching led thousands to faith, and his shadow brought healing (Acts 5:15).</span></li>
<li><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Barnabas, </b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">whose name means &#8220;son of encouragement,&#8221; sold his property to support the church (Acts 4:36-37) and mentored Paul when others doubted him. His generosity and leadership were fueled by the Spirit.</span></li>
</ul>
<p data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">These men weren’t superheroes—they were Spirit-filled believers who surrendered to God’s work in and through them.</p>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">The Secret to a Spirit-Filled Life</b></p>
<p data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Being filled with the Holy Spirit isn’t about emotional experiences—it’s about surrender and obedience. Ephesians 5:18 commands, &#8220;Do not get drunk on wine&#8230; Instead, be filled with the Spirit.&#8221; Just as alcohol controls a drunk person, the Spirit should control a believer.</p>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">What does it mean to be filled?</b></p>
<ul>
<li><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Divine Control – </b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Your thoughts, words, and actions align with God’s will.</span></li>
<li><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Supernatural Empowerment –</b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> You receive strength beyond your natural ability (Acts 1:8).</span></li>
<li><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Freedom from Sin –</b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> The Spirit helps you overcome temptation (Romans 8:13).</span></li>
<li><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Boldness for Witness – </b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Like Peter, you speak with confidence about Christ (Acts 4:31).</span></li>
</ul>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">Why We Desperately Need the Holy Spirit Today</b></p>
<p data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">We live in a generation that rejects truth, glorifies sin, and mocks righteousness. Human effort alone won’t change hearts—we need the Spirit’s power.</p>

<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">3. To Live in Victory Over Sin</b></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">The Spirit convicts (John 16:8), renews our minds (Romans 12:2), and produces godly fruit (Galatians 5:22-23).</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">True freedom isn’t the absence of struggle—it’s walking in the Spirit’s power (2 Corinthians 3:17).</span></li>
</ul>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">How to Cultivate a Spirit-Filled Life</b></p>
<p data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">The early church didn’t wait passively—they pursued God together. Their blueprint was simple but powerful:</p>
<ol>
<li><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Devotion to God’s Word –</b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> They studied Scripture, letting it shape their lives (Acts 2:42).</span></li>
<li><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Genuine Fellowship –</b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> They shared life, resources, and encouragement (Acts 2:44-45).</span></li>
<li><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Persistent Prayer –</b><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"> They prayed until the place shook (Acts 4:31)!</span></li>
</ol>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">The Result?</b></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Miracles happened.</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">The gospel spread like wildfire.</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Lives were transformed.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">A Challenge for Us Today</b></p>
<p data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">The same Spirit who empowered the early church is available to you. The question is:</p>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">Are you living in His power, or are you relying on your own strength?</b></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">If you feel weak, ask for His filling.</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">If you’re afraid, seek His boldness.</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">If you’re stuck in sin, cry out for His deliverance.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">&#8220;But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses&#8230;&#8221; (Acts 1:8).</b></p>
<p data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Let’s stop living powerless, defeated lives and start walking in the supernatural strength of the Spirit!</p>
<p data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">&#8220;The Spirit-filled life is not a special, deluxe edition of Christianity. It is part and parcel of the total plan of God for His people.&#8221; — A.W. Tozer</p>

<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">Legacy is far more than the accolades we earn or the words we speak—i</span>t is defined by the feelings we evoke in others and the impact our daily interactions leave behind. As Maya Angelou wisely stated, “I have learnt that people will forget what you said, what you did but they never will forget what you made them feel.” This simple truth reminds us that the measure of our lives is seen through the lens of those we touch.</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">Credibility and genuineness are the foundations upon which a noble life is built.</span> When we mentor others or influence those around us, it is not enough to simply impart wisdom; our own lives must resonate with integrity and authenticity. If our lives are not nobly lived, any guidance we offer risks being hollow, lacking the true power of example. Every action and every interaction carry with it a ripple effect—empowering some, disempowering others, affirming some, leaving others feeling invisible. These outcomes shape our legacy in ways both seen and unseen.</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">Our legacy is often an unintended byproduct of who we are.</span> The way we live, the choices we make, and the character we nurture determine the fragrance we leave behind. In the Bible, 2 Corinthians 2:15-17 reminds us that we are “the aroma of Christ,” suggesting that our spiritual formation should permeate every aspect of our lives. It is a call to consistently align our actions with a higher purpose, to become living testaments of compassion, righteousness, and humility.</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">Reflecting on the lives of biblical figures such as David, Caleb, and Joshua provide us with tangible examples of both the pitfalls and the triumphs of human experience.</span> David’s lament in Psalm 51 reveals the profound pain of misusing the power bestowed upon him. His recognition that his sin was not just against the people or institutions around him, but against God, underscores the importance of accountability and the sanctity of our actions. In contrast, Caleb and Joshua, who were chosen as the vanguard in their journey of faith, exemplify the virtues of resilience, trust, and a spirit that endures through the passage of time. Caleb’s testament to living nobly, even at 85, shows that legacy is built gradually and intentionally over a lifetime.</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">To leave behind a good legacy, one must engage in continuous spiritual formation—</span>nurturing a life that not only seeks truth and righteousness but also radiates warmth and care in every encounter. The time spent in reflection, study, and companionship with those who uplift us plays an essential role in shaping our character and, ultimately, our legacy. It is a reminder that our lives are not isolated moments but a series of interconnected experiences that cumulatively define how history will remember us.</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;"><span style="color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">In the end, a nobly lived life is one that is consistently formed by deliberate, spiritual choices, mindful interactions, and the sincere desire to make others feel seen, valued, and loved.</span> This is the enduring impact we leave behind—a legacy that, long after our words and deeds are forgotten, remains imprinted in the hearts of those we have touched.</span></li>

<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">Not at all?</span></li>
</ol>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Too often, faith and business are seen as separate worlds. Some assume that gospel faithfulness is an obstacle to professional success, believing that integrity and biblical values may limit opportunities. But the Bible challenges this mindset, showing us that faithfulness in the marketplace is not just possible—it is powerful.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">The Marketplace Under God&#8217;s Lordship</b></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">There’s a common misconception that marketplace dynamics are somehow exempt from the Lordship of Jesus Christ. But scripture tells a different story. Daniel (Daniel 6:1-10) was a high-ranking leader in a secular government. His faith set him apart, and despite attempts to discredit him, his integrity remained unshaken.</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Similarly, Hobby Lobby faced legal battles for refusing to provide certain contraceptives under Obamacare, believing it conflicted with their Christian values. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in their favor, showing that standing firm in faith—even against government pressure—can lead to victory.</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">These examples remind us that success and faithfulness are not mutually exclusive. In fact, our faith should inform how we lead, work, and influence the marketplace.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">Trials Reveal the True Foundations of Our Faith</b></p>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">James 1:2-3 tells us: &#8220;Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.&#8221;</span></li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Challenges in the marketplace are not a sign of failure—they are opportunities to demonstrate unwavering faith. We don’t measure faithfulness by universal approval but by obedience to God’s call (Trevin Wax).</span></li>
</ul>
<p><b data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px; color: var(--awb-custom_color_1);">Breaking Common Misconceptions</b></p>
<p data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Many Christians struggle with these misconceptions about faith in the workplace:</p>
<ul>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">“Christian values don’t apply in business.” (Yet, biblical figures like Joseph, Daniel, and Nehemiah influenced the marketplace with integrity.)</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">“If I stand for my faith, I’ll lose opportunities.” (God honors those who honor Him—though faithfulness may bring temporary trials.)</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">“Faith is just personal; it has no place in my career.” (The Great Commission calls us to bring Christ into every sphere, including work.)</span></li>

Faithfulness in the marketplace is not about forcing beliefs onto others but about leading with excellence, integrity, and unwavering conviction.</span></li>
</ul>

<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">How does your faith influence your work?</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">Are you willing to stand firm even when challenged?</span></li>
<li><span data-fusion-font="true" style="font-size: 14px;">What changes can you make in your professional life to reflect gospel faithfulness?</span></li>
